Set in the heart of Underriver, the Village Hall is a practical, welcoming space for parties, community groups and private events. Underriver is a small rural village just south east of Sevenoaks, known for its wooded lanes and countryside setting.

The hall is regularly used for local activities and is also popular for private hire. You get a classic village hall feel, with the bonus of outdoor space for warmer months.

Parking

  • On the lane (take care not to block driveways)
  • On-site (in summer only) is typically available, but spaces are limited in the village.
  • Please car share where possible, especially for larger bookings. (Underriver roads are narrow and winding.)

Accessibility

  • If you or your guests need step-free access or specific arrangements, mention this when booking so the right set-up can be confirmed.

Inside

  • Fully equipped kitchen (including crockery and glasses).
  • Stage.
  • Separate smaller room (often used as a green room or quieter space).

Outside

  • Outdoor space and room to erect a marquee.

Your booking is not confirmed until we have received: a fully completed and signed booking form (including bank details), and both payments (hall hire fee and deposit) in full.

Hire rates

Rates vary by hire type and duration. For the current price list and booking terms, contact the bookings secretary.

Hire rates (from 1st Oct 2025 to 30th of Sept 2027)

  • All day: £230.00 per day (9am–11pm)
  • Day only: £128.00 per session (9am–5pm)
  • Evening: £128.00 per session (5pm–11pm)
  • Children’s party: £65.00 per session (3 hours); additional hour £22
  • Commercial hourly rate: £34.00 per hour
